Ready For Action is back over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend with the usual mix of mowing lawns, clearing brambles, litter picking and getting muddy!
Over the weekend we aim to have a load of fun together while offering help to some of the more disadvantaged families and individuals living in our communities.
Each day will start at 9:00 am sharp at St Peter’s Church on Bellfields with sign in, a quick morning briefing, some time for prayer, all while you enjoy a nice hot cuppa! We’ll collect suggested cash donations of £5 during this time as well, donations help us cover the cost of running the event. We hope we’ll be finished by 4:30 pm each day when you will need to return to St Peter’s Church to debrief & sign out.
You are welcome to Join us on one day or both days, and everyone who helps out is welcome to join us on Sunday when we’ll close the weekend with a celebration service from 4: 30 pm-5: 30 pm. We’ll be making space to hear stories from the weekend and to say a big thank you to everyone who gets involved.
Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, however, you will need to bring a packed lunch with you and a big bottle of water, preferably a reusable one if you can. It is essential that you wear clothes you can do some hard graft in, and sturdy shoes, so no crocs, please. If you require any PPE this will be provided by us.
To apply to the team you need to register by clicking below and select the appropriate ticket. Ready 4 Action is open to anyone aged 11 years and above, under 18’s must be accompanied by a youth leader or parent/guardian and their tickets should be completed by a parent or guardian.
