RAMPAGE

RAMPAGE

Rampage is an Urban Sports event that began in 1999, and became part of the Matrix project portfolio in 2003. Urban Sports is an opportunity for young sportsmen and sportswomen to test their skill and nerve, normally through ‘skate boarding’, ‘BMXing’ and ‘inline skating’ . It is often done on the streets as well as parks.

Why encourage Urban Sports?

The Urban Sporst culture is growing and diversifying into all sorts of initiatives. We believe that their skills are God given and that it’s important to encourage, recognise and support them, without trying to control their expression.

The Matrix Trust is committed to be a Christian presence in the urban sports scene. We want to encourage those who are already Christians, helping them see that they can still do their 'thing' and know Jesus. We also want an opportunity to connect with those who don't know Jesus yet.

Rampage is run with many partners and local agencies including Plantation Café, Connexions, Ollies Skate Shop, Guildford College and Surrey Police, all who are all committed to the growth, safety and encouragement of young people.
