Changed Lives

We passionately believe that the lives of others are important. All of our work is part of an ongoing menu of support for different people. Some of it goes to meet short term needs and others provide long term support.

From time to time we get to see the direct results of changed lives and are blessed to be able to see it:

We had first contact with a girl in November struggling with coursework, underachieving in school and also demonstrating aggressive behaviour. By February things at home had become more complicated.

We invited her on a weekend away looking at esteem and self confidence which has led to regular contact in school. Over the past 3 months we have discussed strategies for coping with stress and talked about how complicated family life can be. She now knows she has a space to vent if she needs one or if things get too much.

She has now caught up with all her coursework and has been predicted a total of 7 A-C’s by the time she leaves next June.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the help you gave my daughter and me over the weekend...the happiness you gave my daughter will be treasured. She sufferes very badly from nerves so does not go out or communicate with people. She rang me and was so delighted not only with the work but the fact that she found it so easy to communicate with the team of workers. She said they were such nice people she could not help but talk to them.

I was so pleased to hear her say it was the most pleasant weekend she had in a long time as I she goes to pieces if she has to have workman in the house for an hour. Once again thank you for all the wonderful work you do.
